For nominated beneficiaries

Claim a WillWolf vaultsomeone left for you.

Sign in with your Aadhaar on the WillWolf claim portal. From there the vault opens through one of two paths, whichever the owner has set.

Aadhaar OTP sign-in. Encrypted vault. Never read by WillWolf staff.

Two sides of the same claim

The owner sets it up. You open your share.

A WillWolf claim has two sides. The owner decides who inherits and how they get in. The beneficiary follows the exact path the owner set, without ever seeing what belongs to anyone else.

For the owner

You decide who gets what, and when.

Set up who inherits every asset, add a private message where it matters, and pick the path each person will take when the time comes.

  • Add each beneficiary

Name every person, capture their Aadhaar, and record the relationship.

  • Assign what they receive

Split each asset by percentage across one or more beneficiaries.

  • Release early access (optional)

Pick a future date, at least 24 hours from now, to hand over access early. Change or cancel any time before it fires.

  • Leave it to the system

If no early access is set, our death-certificate flow takes over when needed.

For the beneficiary

You open only what was left for you.

How you actually get in depends on what the owner set up. There are only two scenarios you will ever see, and the claim portal picks the right one for you automatically.

  • Scenario 1. Direct access is on

The owner has already released access to you. On the claim portal your profile card is marked Ready to open. Sign in with your Aadhaar one-time code, tap Open, and you are inside the vault. No death certificate, no admin review, no waiting.

  • Scenario 2. The owner has passed away and no direct access is set

The profile card is marked Sealed until a death certificate is on file. Upload a clear photo or scan of the real certificate on the portal. Our team reviews it within 24 to 48 hours and emails you the outcome. On approval the card flips to Open and you can enter. If it is rejected you get the reason and can re-upload as many times as you need.

The journey

Four moments, one clear path.

Every claim follows the same four moments. Only the third one splits, based on whether the owner has released early access or a death certificate is needed.

  1. Verify with your Aadhaar

One-time code on the phone or email on your Aadhaar record.

    • One sign-in covers every vault you are named on
    • 30-minute session, then times out for safety
    Sign in
  2. A profile card for every owner

One card per owner who has named your Aadhaar. The status pill decides your next move.

    • Sealed (nothing uploaded yet)
    • Sent for review
    • Open (Ready to open)
    See your vaults
  3. Early access, or a verified death certificate

The portal picks the right path for you automatically. One of two things will be true.

    • Early access on: card is Ready to open, enter straight away
    • Otherwise: upload the certificate, our team reviews it (Sent for review)
    • Only after admin approval does the card flip to Ready to open
    Follow the assigned path
  4. Read only the parts assigned to you

Tap View now on a Ready to open card. The vault decrypts inside your browser.

    • Only assets, wills, documents and messages assigned to you
    • Nothing else is exposed, ever
    Open the vault

What makes WillWolf different

Built so nobody can quietly open your vault. Not even us.

A traditional will service holds your data on their servers and asks you to trust their process. WillWolf removes that trust from the equation by design. The guarantees are architectural, not policy.

Encrypted inside your browser

The vault key never leaves your device. Not our engineers, not a court order, and not a database breach can open it.

No single point of failure

Your data is protected by more than one lock in more than one place. Breaking into any one of our systems alone is not enough to open it.

Aadhaar-verified sign-in

Every beneficiary confirms their identity with an Aadhaar one-time code before the vault will open.

AI-assisted certificate review

Uploaded death certificates get an automated pre-check for quality, authenticity, and match against the owner before an admin sees them.

Before you start

The three things you will need.

The claim portal is a lightweight, read-only screen. It only asks for what it truly needs to identify you and open the vault the owner assigned to you.

  1. Your Aadhaar

Used to identify you and to send you a one-time code. This step is required in both paths.

    Required
  2. The phone or email on your Aadhaar

The one-time code lands on the contact number or email address linked to your Aadhaar record with UIDAI.

    Required
  3. A clear death certificate

Only needed when the owner has not released early access. A well-lit photo or a plain scan works.

    When needed

Stay in the loop

You are notified at every step.

WillWolf emails you the moment anything changes on your claim, from access being released to the final decision. You never have to guess where things stand.

What is safe

Only the parts you are meant to see.

The vault is encrypted end to end. Signing in and opening a claim never puts you in front of anything the owner did not specifically assign to you.

What you can read

Only what was left for you.

  • Assets, wills and documents the owner specifically assigned to you
  • Personal messages the owner wrote for each of those assets
  • The owner's full name and photo on their profile card

What stays hidden

Everything else, always.

  • Anything assigned to another beneficiary, ever
  • Older assets locked because the owner's paid plan expired, or was never bought
  • The owner's master password, recovery sentence, or vault key
  • Anything in the vault that was not assigned to you

Locked assets stay invisible to you

Older assets above the free-tier cap become locked when the owner\'s paid plan expires, or was never bought. Nothing is ever deleted: those items are held safely in the vault, hidden from your claim view, and simply reappear the moment the owner re-upgrades or trims their list back within the cap.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Find clear answers to the questions we hear most from families using WillWolf.

What if the death certificate is rejected?

You are emailed the reason our admin gave (for example, the scan was too blurry or the name did not match). The profile card returns to Sealed with the upload button re-enabled, and you can upload a clearer file. There is no limit on how many times you can re-upload.

Can I claim from more than one owner with the same Aadhaar?

Yes. A single Aadhaar sign-in shows one profile card per owner who has named you. Each vault opens on its own path.

What if my Aadhaar-registered contact number has changed?

The Aadhaar OTP is sent to the contact on your Aadhaar record. If that is out of date, update it with UIDAI first. WillWolf cannot deliver the code to a different number.

What happens if the owner is still alive?

You can only see a vault if the owner has released early access to you, or if a death certificate has been approved. Otherwise the profile card stays Sealed and no data is visible.

How long is my claim session?

A verified sign-in lasts 30 minutes. If it expires you can sign in again with a fresh Aadhaar OTP; the review request keeps waiting on the admin side regardless.

Can WillWolf staff read the vault?

No. The vault is encrypted in the owner's browser before it leaves their device. Only you (once released) or the owner can decrypt it.

Ready to claim?

Sign in on the claim portal with your Aadhaar. The rest of the flow is driven by the state of the vault you have been named on.
